Sailing Camp Camp suitable for Ages 10 to 16
Bow Waves Sailing Camp is a fantastic way to learn to sail as well as practicing and improving skills gained previously. The program is tailored to meet each students particular needs while keeping the focus on fun, safety, and learning. Our experienced and professional instructors ensure that the activities throughout the week are challenging for all the students while setting an exciting tone for the program overall.
Sailing Objectives
By the end of the week, participants will have a basic understanding of boat handling techniques and background knowledge. The students that already hold certificates will be working towards their next level. For instance if they hold a Start Sailing Certificate they will be checking off all the knowledge and manoeuvres required for the Basic Skills. The camp has been designed to provide a positive outdoor experience in a fun, challenging environment. The teamwork and discipline needed for sailing helps to build confidence and gives participants a wonderful sense of freedom and independence. Wet suits and buoyancy aids are provided.
Treasure Island Camp Suitable for Ages 5 to 10
The camp is an action packed, fun filled week of games & activities. Over the 5 days the children will have a positive outdoor experience in a fun, challenging environment. At Bow Waves, a new day brings a new activity. For example, you could be sailing on Monday, Kayaking on Tuesday, Raft building on Wednesday, Crab Fishing Thursday and finish with a hunt for treasure on Friday.
The camp runs from Monday to Friday from 10am to 3pm. It is open for 5 year olds to 10 year olds. We guarantee you will be collecting a very exhausted little one come 3pm!
If you have older children, they can go along to Bow Waves Sailing Camp which runs also from Monday to Friday 10am to 5pm. This camp is tailored for 10year olds to 16 year old. This is a fantastic camp where your children learn to sail as well as practicing and improving skills gained previously.
For both camps the experienced and professional instructors at Bow Waves ensure that the activities throughout the week are challenging for all the students while setting a fun and exciting
tone for the camp overall.
