The Viking and Medieval Dublin exhibitions bring the city to life in an exciting and contemporary way for all ages to learn and share. See what life was really like onboard a Viking warship, visit a Viking house and learn of their myths and mysteries. Learn all about the death and disease of Dublin in medieval times, experience the Dublin fair and visit a bustling medieval street. Finally, unearth the citys past at the History Hunters exhibition; see how archaeology works with history and science to put together the pieces of our past. Visit the lab, and also see real Viking and Medieval artifacts (on loan from the National Museum.

2nd of March - Make a Medieval Shield
Come along to our Education room and have a go at making your very own medieval shield.
Workshops on from 11am – 1.00pm and 1.45pm – 3.00pm.
6th of April – Medieval Puppet Show
Hear and see the story of how Lambert Simnell ALMOST became King of Ireland.

4th of May – Make a Medieval Shoe
Archaeologist Mark Kelly shows you how to make a Nike runner medieval style!
Workshops on at 11.00am, 12.00pm, 2.00pm and 3.00pm.
1st of June –Viking Storytelling sessions
Hear some of the myths and mysteries of the Vikings in this special narrated story, by a real Viking lady!
Running from 11.00am to 3.00pm.
6th of July – Viking Craft Workshop
Want to make your very own Viking warrior head pencil topper?
Artzone host an art activity with fully qualified art teachers.
Workshops running every 45 minutes from 11.00am to 2.45pm.
On a Living History Day, every weekend June to September, you will meet Olaf the Viking Coin Minter. As an added bonus, costumed guides will take you through the exhibition at 2.30pm everyday (except in July).
