A day at Loughcrew is a great day out.

Try the Adventure Activities, visit The Loughcrew Megalithic Cairns, (older even than Newgrange), or learn about living in nature on our Bush Craft courses.

Summer Camp 2013
New for this year we have overnight camps!

The overnighters will stay in tents and learn camp crafts around the fire for the evening.
We provide the tents, all you need is a sleeping bag.

Day campers are welcome too!

On the summer camp you will:

-Learn Rock-Climbing skills and knots

-Shoot some arrows in Archery

-Learn Animal Tracking skills

-Build and paddle a Raft

-Swing through the forest on the Witches ropes

-Find your way with Orienteering

-Get mucky on the Nightline and Assault Course

-Have as many goes on the Zipline as you want!

Children will be supervised at all times by our experienced instructors.

We will provide lunch for everyone, overnight campers will get breakfast and dinner too of course!

Dates:
Camp 1 July 3rd, 4th and 5th
Camp 2 July 17th, 18th and 19th

Times:
Overnight campers from 10am Wednesday to 5pm Friday.
Day campers from 10am to 5pm each day.

Fancy a stroll? Loughcrew Historic Gardens are 17th and 19th century feature gardens.

There is a permanent Alice in Wonderland exhibition, a Fairy Garden, St. Oliver Plunketts family church, and a 4 km walk to Lough Creeve. Also you can always enjoy the mini play ground and games at the Loughcrew Coffee Shop.

Loughcrew lies at the foot of the Loughcrew Megalithic Cairns. They are the largest network of Megalithic passage tombs in Ireland, are 6,000 years older (older even than Newgrange), and one can see more than one third of Ireland from the top (on a clear day!)
