Powerscourt Gardens
Experience one of the best views in Ireland at Powerscourt Gardens, just 20km south of Dublin City Centre. Featuring ornate Italian and Japanese Gardens, formal rose gardens and borders, rambling wooded walks and fascinating water features, Powerscourt will delight and surprise you. The winding pathways feel like a secret garden at times, revealing new treasures at each twist and turn. Discover mythical statues inspired by Lord Powerscourts visits to European palaces. Enjoy the beautiful sight and perfume of 100s of different types of plants, flowers and trees. A visit to the Pets Cemetery at Powerscourt is very popular, where you can read interesting pet names such as Mrs Mare and Little Bots. Children love climbing the Pepper Pot Tower and posing for a picture with the cannons nearby.
Powerscourt House offers a range of craft and interior shops and is home to a beautiful Terrace Cafe where Avoca serve up delectable cuisine, with a special kids menu for younger visitors.
Powerscourt Waterfall
Visit Powerscourt, the highest waterfall in Ireland which is located 5 km from the main Estate. Discover trees that are hundreds of years old such as the Giant Redwoods, which are native to Northern California and grow up to 80m high! Wildlife at the waterfall includes Cuckoos, Chaffinches, Deer and Red Squirrels. Why not bring a picnic or BBQ and make it a special day. There is a childrens playground for younger visitors to enjoy.

Secret Tour of Powerscourt and its HiddenGems
Enjoy a walking tour with a difference at Powerscourt Gardens. Let yourself be transported back in time by Michael Seery, a local history enthusiast and founder of the Enniskerry Local History blog. Michael will show you the hidden gems of Powerscourt Gardens and provide plenty of interesting anecdotes along the way! Discover the kitchen gardens at Powerscourt and learn about the food from that era. Uncover the trees that Princess Grace and Jackie Onassis once planted. Learn about garden designer Daniel Robertson who is said to have suffered from gout and directed operations from a wheelbarrow, fortified by a bottle of sherry! The tour takes place on 24th of May at 11am in Powerscourt Gardens. It is included in the entrance price to the gardens and is free for annual members. No booking is required.
