Fit Kids/Fit Teens classes are now in eighteen locations throughout Leinster.
Much more than just a dance club, it has been described as a movement as children from 3 years old to adult learn the latest dance styles and much more.
Hailed as All Ireland and Irish Masters Hip Hop and Breakdance Champions, they have represented Ireland on the world stage many times in many countries bringing home Gold and earning the respect and support from many TD's and Councillors and even President Higgins who described them as 'wonderful role models'.
Founded thirty years ago, Fit Kids/Fit Teens was set up to encourage young people to stay fit and healthy both physically and mentally and instill confidence through dance, deportment and drama. Nowadays, with the popularity of the Hip Hop culture in young people it caters for this interest.
All of the Instructors have grown up in the Fit Kids/Fit Teens 'family' and many of these young dancers have followed careers in this field. All Instructors are Garda vetted and many of them have also got qualifications in working with children with extra needs.
Classes are divided into three groups, each at a separate time.
Parents are very welcome to stay and watch the classes and join in the fun if they wish.
All dancers from the youngest to the oldest are encouraged to take part in the regular displays, shows, flash mobs, parades, fashion shows, pantos and parties if they so wish but it is recognised that each child is an individual and may not wish to perform and this is respected.
Some dancers are competitive and are supported in any competitions should they wish to enter.
Over the years Fit Kids/Fit Teens have enjoyed great TV success with their dancers performing on The Late Late Toy Show, TV3 Toy Show, Swipe TV, AbraKIDabra, Kazoo, Podge and Rodge, Saturday Night Show, The Band Stand, Operation Transformation, Sky's Got To Dance, The All Ireland Talent Show, Ireland AM, Ballet Chancers, Elev8, Hiudai TG4, many TV commercials and much more.
They have performed wonderful Flash Mobs including Ryanair(in Manchester Airport and Glasgow), Coca Cola, The Charlie Chaplin Comedy Film Festival, Disrupting Alzheimer's and RTE Halloween.
They have also had chart success when they released a single to highlight and support the Romanian Orphanage plight and the dancers have used their dance skills to help many charities over the years.
