Slieve Aughty Centre is a family run eco resort, organic café, equestrian centre and event venue in County Galway.

Surrounded by more than 2,000 acres of forest, Slieve Aughty Centre offers a wide range of activities for children of all ages in a fun, safe and relaxing atmosphere.

With accommodations ranging from camping to luxury en suite rooms, you can stay for an hour or a week and enjoy this relaxed setting in East County Galway.

Children’s parties are customised to your needs and budget and can include a variety of activities such as horse riding, donkey games, teambuilding, arts and crafts, and more. In addition to family days out, they specialise in School Tours, First Communion’s, Christenings, Confirmation Parties, Weddings, Corporate Parties as well as Weekend Stays and Holidays.

Birthday Parties at Slieve Aughty Centre

Make your own Party
Enjoy self-guided activities of Slieve Aughty Centre at your leisure. Pet the farm animals. Make your own craft, play at the toddler playground, walk to the enchanted forest and receive a pack with a map, fairy dust, and wishing tag and pencil. Only €5 per child
Enchanted Forest Pony Ride Party
Each child rides his or her own pony to the Enchanted Forest with an Enchanted Forest pack. Includes pony brushing, arts n crafts (optional), face painting, pony painting, dressing up (themes available) €20 per child. (no experience necessary, ages 5 and up only)
Pony games Party
Children tackle a fun obstacle course in teams aboard a quiet pony. Includes pony brushing, arts n crafts (optional), face painting, pony painting, dressing up (themes available) €15 per child. (no experience necessary, ages 5 an dup only)

Add a delicious Pancake Party extravaganza or a pizza party for only €5 per child.

The café is open daily for refreshments with a wide choice of healthy options for the adults. See below for opening hours.

A family day out

Visit the Enchanted Forest, where the fairy folk live and play, pet the ponies, meet the farm animals, slide at the toddler playground,make and do in the arts and crafts room, or go for a longer self-guided walk of 2-7 km, all for only €5 per person.

Lead rein pony ride to the Enchanted forest €10/child (no experience necessary). 35-minute lead rein pony ride through the forest €15/child (no experience necessary).

Food

The organic café is open daily (no booking necessary).
Friday evenings from April to October at 7pm we organise a make your own Pizza Party outdoors in our clay pizza oven €12.50/adult (bookings essential)
For group bookings they offer a large dinner buffet menu to choose from (bookings essential)

Festivals & Events

Easter Spring Festival
The whole family enjoys a self-guided Easter bunny riddle trail along the way to the Enchanted Forest. Visit the rabbits at the centre and do some bunny arts and crafts and more €7.50 includes a sweet bag for each child.

Halloween mid-term festival
It’s a spooky time at Slieve Aughty during the Halloween Festival, with ghosts and goblins galore, haunted houses, Halloween tricks and treats, scary stories, costumes and face painting, horses and ponies to pet and riding is optional, arts and crafts and more €7.50 per person

Christmas Festival
The house is warm and beautifully decorated in a Christmas atmosphere. They capture the spirit and magic of Christmas in a way that more commercial events cannot achieve.
