Welcome to The Craft Corner summer arts and craft camps for 2018. This year we are delighted to have expanded our craft camp locations. We have locations in Castletown House, Straffan for two weeks, Naas and Maynooth and a second location in Celbridge.
WHY CHOOSE THE CRAFT CORNER
Here at the craft corner we pride ourselves on our personalised approach.
In all our camps we keep the numbers of students in each camp low so that each camper gets one to one attention and this also makes our summer camps are perfect for a child who might be shy or find big groups of people overwhelming.
We believe that every child is creative and should be given the skills and tools to explore that creativity.
WHAT WE DO AT CRAFT CAMP
At our summer camps we explore many different types of arts and crafts. We normally have three or four main projects that we work on over the course of the week, through which we learn about painting, colour, materiality, famous artists, 3D building and using our imagination.
We always leave time for free crafting as we believe that the skills children learn from exploring their own imagination and ideas are key building blocks in improving confidence.
We love to think outside the box in our art camps, teaching our students not just how to paint a picture but also how to make our own paints, craft our own paper and think about how we could make our own brushes.
Art is about so much more than the finished product, it is about the process and learning about the hows and whys of what we do.
